I think this is really cool - I love street cars/trolleys. I think it’s just such a cool way to get around. I normally take the subway from South Philly to Center City, since the C bus is really slow, but something I miss on the subway is seeing the city…Riding from the bustle of Center City to my neighborhood, or riding from my neighborhood towards William Penn & City Hall.
I guess I’m kind of a public transportation nerd - I get excited to take the subway, it gives me time to people watch and zone out and listen to music. I think public transportation is such an asset to a city and I hate that the old timers in my neighborhood are so car dependent. I wish the city would spend money updating the system here - MetroCards, better signage, nicer trains, nicer stations that don’t smell like piss.
