Great Idea: Stick of Sugar
I love to bake cookies, but my least favorite part is the “1 cup of brown sugar, packed”. Who likes that step? No one. Making sure you have soft brown sugar, figuring out how to pack it down (A spoon? A rubber spatula? Your hand?), it sucks.
Solution:
Stick of Sugar.
Much like a stick of butter, this is a molded “stick” of packed brown sugar in 1 cup increments, with measurements printed on the side. They’d be packaged such that they don’t get hard and useless.
Someone in the sugar industry get on this.
